Jake lived the life of a digital nomad before accepting an offer to work for a tech firm in Panama City. He moved to Punta Pacifica, Panama, because of its breathtaking scenery and accessibility to Panama City’s financial district. He was also a foodie and heard that the Punta Pacifica restaurant scene was among the best in Panama City. Jake had a lot of friends back in the States who were also foodies. He saw the great culinary scene as a possible bonus to convince people to visit him in Panama or move there. He was not disappointed.

Diverse Dining Options in Punta Pacifica Panama

Aroma Gourmet

He started at the top with Aroma Gourmet in Punta Pacifica Panama, a Mediterranean-themed restaurant serving delicious soups, salads, and pasta. They also have delectable seafood, and the Aroma sea bass had Jake’s mouth watering from the first bite. He knew he would return because he wanted to try more of their menu, from the polenta to the ravioli to the pizza.

Agave Azul

Since he was in Central America, Jake needed a place to get good Mexican food. He found it in Agave Azul. They had delicious tacos and nachos. The margaritas were fantastic. They also had more impressive entrees like gordidas de chicaron, carnitas, and even octopus. The guacamole was to die for, and the pan de corvina was a signature dish. Chef’s kiss.

La Vespa Ristorante and Cocktail Bar

When Jake heard he could get good Italian food in Punta Pacifica, he made a beeline to La Vespa Ristorante and Cocktail Bar. With the delicious pasta and tantalizing pizzas on the menu, he felt like he could have been in New York. The live music and tasty cocktails only added to the stellar ambiance.

Lima Nikkei

Over the last few years, Jake has gotten into fusion restaurants that combine different international flavors. He found just such a place in Punta Pacifica called Lima Nikkei. By bringing together the flavors of Japan and Peru, Jake got another unique dining experience he couldn’t find anywhere. He tried seafood ceviche, empanadas, fried rice, and sushi rolls. The exquisite cocktails made Lima Nikkei like a party that Jake didn’t want to leave.

Pollo Tropical/Versalles

Jake finally found a tropical restaurant when he tried Pollo Tropical/Versalles. It is a much more casual chain of restaurants that offers counter service but still has delicious fresh food. This restaurant proves it doesn’t have to be fancy to be delicious. The grilled chicken and pork platters and sandwiches satisfy our guilty pleasures at an affordable price.

These are just a few of the restaurants that Jake discovered. They ran the gamut between fine dining and casual counter service, but each hit the right spot. Armed with this foodie knowledge, Jake’s life in Punta Pacifica, Panama, would be significantly enriched. Not only that, he had yet another reason to entice his friends to visit him in Panama.
